Sturbridge Porterhouse

Excellent on all counts, from server to atmosphere to food. In town for a NYE wedding, we wanted to enjoy dinner after an almost 5 hr drive and hotel check-in on Dec. 30. We called ahead, about 90 min. and the hostess fit us in at a small table for two. Sturbridge Porterhouse rivaled the best meals we have had. Shocked to find no porterhouse on the menu though! 😊

Im so glad I found this restaurant! In the middle of nowhere-in an area where there are several small towns and zero upscale or good dining places; is this wonderful steak house. Upon entering I was greeted by a delightful young lady who quickly showed me to my table. My waiter, Cody, was extremely helpful and friendly. Ordered the wedge salad for a starter-and the BONE MARROW PORTERHOUSE, and added the mushroom side. OMG-the steak was delicious and the bone marrow was an added delight. The mushrooms were outstanding and worked well with the steak and bone marrow. One of my favorite steak dinners I have had.

I'm writing this as I am sitting here. We were welcomed with friendly kind servers upon entering. The atmosphere is quaint and charming place.( We visited during a quiet time ) The appetizer came out very fast and we barely sat down before our server came for our drink order. The blackened Bruschetta is incredibly delishous! Highly recommend trying it! Moscato is fantastic if you like a sweeter wine. Both Steaks were phanominal! The filet mignon was so good Cooked to perfection and the bone marrow steaks for two with 2 sides of green beans mashed potatoes and Mac & cheese we're all so delicious! My taste buds were in heaven. Out of the BBQ sauce , bernaise and peppercorn sauce.thw BBQ was my absolute favorite and the best I've had at a steak house! Patrick thanks for an incredible dinner! My last recommendation is go hungry cuz the portions are perfect for two people. We barely finished. We took desert to go! Waiting for dinner now and will update review later*

Nice Steakhouse in Sturbridge! The food was amazing. My ribeye was cooked perfectly to temperature and everything was seasoned well... not too or under salt. The reason I gave it 4 stars was due to receiving menus and water glasses that were dirty - food smudges. For the price of this restaurant, cleanliness shouldn't be an issue. So that was disappointing. Other than that we enjoyed the food and service.
